Claire Mason is an accredited Exercise Physiologist at EMRI and has been part of the research team since 2015. Her role involves ensuring each oncology patient referred to EMRI for exercise is provided the best evidence-based care either as a participant in a clinical exercise research trial or via EP services at Vario and beyond.
As an experienced research assistant Claire enrols eligible participants into trials, assesses bone mineral density and body composition, measures physical and functional fitness, delivers and monitors exercise interventions and co-ordinates follow up exercise support and care beyond completion of the trial.
Claire is passionate about exercise oncology and its place in the treatment and care of oncology patients. She holds a BSc in Exercise and rehabilitation, is accredited with ESSA and is a member of COSA.
