Oliver is a Cancer Council WA Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Exercise Medicine Research Institute in the School of Medical and Health Sciences. Oliver’s research focuses on the role of exercise medicine to reduce the risk of cancer recurrence and improve survival by developing a better understanding of how exercise can influence a patient’s response to treatment.

Background

Oliver completed his PhD in exercise oncology at Edith Cowan University where he investigated the role of exercise as adjunct therapy during treatment for men with prostate cancer. He also has a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Health Sciences and Technology from ETH Zurich (Switzerland).
