A randomized controlled trial of exercise medicine for men undergoing active surveillance for prostate cancer

Primary Objective: To determine the efficacy of implementing a program of exercise medicine specifically prescribed to delay (or even prevent) transition to active therapies and impede PCa progression

Inclusion Criteria: 1) Within 1 year of diagnosis of prostate cancer; 2) Undergoing AS [defined as 1] histologically proven adenocarcinoma of the prostate; 3) be fit for curative therapy; 4) not have received former therapy for PCa; 5) clinical state as <T2; 6) <10% Gleason pattern 4 disease on biopsy; and 7) PSA <10ng/ml]

Exclusion Criteria: 1) Acute illness or any musculoskeletal, cardiovascular or neurological disorder that could inhibit exercise performance or put participants at risk from exercise
