Would you like to conduct leading edge research to advance exercise oncology for the treatment of prostate cancer?
The Exercise Medicine Research Institute is World leading in exercise oncology research and clinical practice. To expand depth and breadth of this important work, we are investigating the mechanisms by which targeted exercise interacts with cancer therapies, enhances treatment effectiveness, influences the biology of cancer cells, and suppresses tumour growth and metastasis.
We are calling for applications to be considered for Research Scholarships valued at $35,000 AUD per annum to undertake a PhD at Edith Cowan University. The scholarship also includes a full tuition sponsorship. The title of the project is:
“Exercise medicine to enhance effectiveness and ameliorate side-effects of therapy in patients with advanced prostate cancer”
You will be based at the Exercise Medicine Research Institute at Edith Cowan University in Perth, Western Australia supervised by leaders in the field of exercise oncology. The successful applicant will have a strong background in exercise physiology, immunology, molecular biology, or related fields.
